Praise & Worship
“Shout to the Lord, all the earth; break out in praise and sing for joy!”
Psalm 98:4
Worship is an essential part of the Christian faith, and one of the ways in which we love to worship God is through music. At New Life Church we have a great group of people who use their gifts for singing and playing instruments to lead worship in our services. Also part of the team are the technical guys who cleverly co-ordinate the multi-media to assist us and enhance our worship. We practise most Thursday evenings, each bringing our own ideas and leadings from God, and we all contribute to putting together meaningful music to enable the congregation to get closer to God and offer their voices and hearts in worship. After all that playing and singing, we also enjoy a cup of coffee and a good old chinwag too!

Worship Group: Pippa, Jo and Linda
Our All-age services, once a month, give us the opportunity to engage with our youthful side, and get physical too – co-ordinating both our voices and bodies for the action songs, with varying degrees of success! In the past, we have enjoyed putting together our very own ‘Songs of Praise’ services – an ‘all-time favourites’ evening (as voted for by the congregation); an evening getting to know some new songs, and even a Christmas special.

Most of the worship group are regular Spring Harvest goers each year and we return to New Life inspired and energised, with the latest song-book at the ready, to bring the favourite new songs from the ‘big’ venue into our smaller setting. Our services include a range of old, not so old, new and very new hymns and choruses, reflecting our Church’s diversity. We’re always keen to welcome new talent to the group. So don’t be shy, come and join the gang and use your musical talents to serve the purpose of God.
