Romania

For many years we have supported work in Romania. Initially this was to provide funds to build a drop in centre for street children where they could be fed, washed, given new clothes and receive medical treatment. This project is now up and running; and manned and supported by Romanians. There is an old proverb that says it’s better to teach a man to fish so that he can feed himself for the rest of his life, than to just give him a fish that will satisfy him for only one day. It is especially pleasing to see this work being carried on by Romanians and to see so many young lives being blessed and changed for good as a result of their commitment and love.

Florin and Mihaila

We are currently supporting a Pastor and his family in a small Gypsy village just outside Brasov. There is a small congregation with many new believers who are now sharing the message of Jesus with their neighbours and the surrounding communities. We try to visit every year to share with them and encourage Florin the Pastor and his wife Mihaila. By visiting regularly we are able to take gifts and essentials direct to the point of need and place them into real hands rather than just putting money into a post box or bank account. This makes a real difference and blesses them and us!

We are committed to this support long term and at least up until the small church there can support itself. If you are interested in this work and would like to help then please come and chat to Graham and he can explain in greater detail what you can do.
